âElvis Elvisâ â His Comeback
At the age of four the infant prodigy of the 80s and 90s sings in public for
the first time. Today âElvis-Elvisâ signs his new CD âInsieme-Noiâ (together-us) with his real name Elvis Colangelo.
Elvisâ father - DoDi Colangelo
â started playing different instruments at the age of five, but itâs only in 1983 that DoDi and his band record their first LP album âS. Domingoâ with Durium in Milan, Italy. This album features important artists such as Bigazzi / Cavallaro / Lino Di Palma / Geyrey / F. Murruni / R. Luvero / Anesa / Bargel/ L.Ceroni / Maurizio Bassi / Pace / F. Albertelli / V. Reitano / M. Di Franco / R. Luvero / Switchcraft; producer is GegĂ© Reitano. Two songs are written by Maurizio Bassi, producer of the famous song âTarzan Boyâ (1985). The guitarist of this song, Giorgio Cocilovo, is playing guitar in Elvis Colangeloâs CD âInsieme Noiâ.
In 1984 DoDi recorded two further albums: one with Mino Reitano and the other
with Durium, both in Milan, Italy. In April 1985 DoDiâs band dissolved so he decided to have his son Elvis
participate to the Zecchino dâOro contest in Switzerland with the song âLettera al papĂ lontanoâ. Elvis won the singing contest, starting his career in the music business. His artistic efforts were rewarded in 1986 by the Antoniano in Bologna, Italy, and also won him the first prize at the âCantitaliaâ festival the same year. The song âLa lettera al papĂ â was recorded at âPowerplaystudio Zurichâ and included in the compilation with great Italian artists such as Toto Cutugno / Eros Ramazzotti / Mattia Bazar and others. Elvis signed a contract with Willi Viteka.
In 1987 he recorded and released âSiamo Giovaniâ and âLa lettera al
papĂ â produced by Willi Viteka. From 1988 to 1992 he recorded the songs âOkay Ragazziâ, âSarĂ LâetĂ â , âFortunaâ, âFavola Rockâ , âInsieme-Noiâ, âE-Ti-Amoâ â with the
label âStar-Music-2000-CE-78â. Elvis worked with big names of the international music industry, taking part in several TV productions and shows. After many years of intensive artistic work, Elvis decided to
take some time off, still continuing his path in the music universe by being DJ until 2000. Starting that same year Elvis took up recording again and seriously pursued his singing lessons in order to awaken that
passion and aspiration for music his beloved father had had in the past. After four years of work he produced his new CD âInsieme-Noi, mixed by Armand Volker, internationally known for over 20 hits.
Elvis, his father DoDi and mother Rina are faithful to Padre Pio, having
overcome dark moments in their lives. Therefore, they have written an autobiographical song dedicated to Padre Pio, âGrazie Padre Pioâ, sung by DoDi Colangelo with background vocals by Elvis. On this CD
dedicated to Padre Pio, DoDi records, alongside with his own songs, also seven songs written by his son Elvis. The revenues from this CD will partly be donated to charity.
Release date
of Elvis Colangeloâs CD âInsieme noiâ as well as DoDi Colangeloâs CD âGrazie Padre Pioâ is April 3, 2005.
